The trial version includes all desktop features of Acrobat Pro DC, plus a limited set of Document Cloud services including the ability to fill, sign, and send forms on a tablet device, store and share files online, and access recently viewed files across devices. A paid subscription is required to take advantage of other services including the ability to get signatures from others; send and track documents online; and create and export PDFs from a browser or mobile device.

  1. Review the Trial Program FAQs and the System Requirements, displayed at the bottom of the page. Ensure that your computer meets the requirements. Click Get Started.

  2. Enter your Adobe ID. If you do not have an Adobe ID, enter your email address. Select the plan you intend to purchase after the trial period expires, and click Continue.

    An Adobe ID secures and personalizes your experience with Adobe products and services. Your purchases, membership, and trials of Adobe products and services are associated with your Adobe ID. You can also use your Adobe ID to register your Adobe products, order products, and track orders, contact Adobe support, and participate in Adobe forums and events.

  3. Enter your password to sign in, and click Continue.

    Note:

    For new users, the billing page is displayed. You will be prompted to setup the password later.

    Note:

    A binary setup file is downloaded. It's not a complete installer. When you run the file, the actual download and installation starts.

  4. The order confirmation page is displayed. Click Get Started.

  5. Select your applicable option from the list in the required fields, and click Continue.

  6. Based on the browser you're using, follow the instructions below:

    Internet Explorer

    You see a prompt at the bottom of the window asking you to Save or Run the file. Click Run and then skip to the next step.

    Firefox

    a. You see a file download prompt. Click Save File.

    b. You can see the downloaded exe file by clicking the Show All Downloads icon in the upper-right corner of the window. The filename starts with 'acrobatproDC'. Double-click the exe file, and skip to the next step.

    Note:

    Press Ctrl+J to open the Firefox Library dialog box. You can see the downloaded exe file under Downloads. The filename starts with 'acrobatproDC'.

    Chrome

    You can see the downloaded exe file in the lower-left corner of the browser window. The filename starts with 'acrobatproDC'. Double-click the exe file, and skip to the next step.

    If you cannot locate the downloaded file, open Windows Explorer and then choose the Downloads folder in the left navigation pane. Double-click the downloaded setup file.

  7. The User Account Control prompt appears. Click Yes.

    The installer starts downloading and installing Acrobat.

  8. After the installation is complete, click Launch Acrobat.

    You may be asked to sign in. Sign in with your Adobe ID and password.

    Note:

    If you see a warning message saying your Acrobat subscription cannot be validated, click the Continue in Trial button.

    If you cannot locate the downloaded file, open Finder and then choose the Downloads folder in the left navigation pane. Double-click the downloaded DMG file.

  5. After the DMG file is mounted, you see the Adobe Acrobat installer screen. Double-click the installer icon to begin installation.

    Mac OS may display an alert message as shown below. Click Open.

    Note:

    Mac OS may prompt you to sign in. Sign in with your Mac user name and password.

    The installer starts downloading and installing Acrobat.

  6. After the installation is complete, click Launch Acrobat.

    You may be asked to sign in. Sign in with your Adobe ID and password.

    Note:

    If you see a warning message saying your Acrobat subscription cannot be validated, click the Continue in Trial button.

Convert Acrobat Pro DC trial to full subscription

Once the trial expires, you will be automatically charged for the selected plan.
