Excel 365 For Mac Not Showing Adobe Tab

Excel 2016 automatically keeps a running list of the last 25 files you opened in the Recent Workbooks list on the Open screen when the Recent Workbooks option is selected under Places. If you want, you can have Excel display more or fewer files in this list.

To change the number of recently opened files that appear, follow these simple steps:

  1. Choose File→Options→Advanced or press Alt+FTA to open the Advanced tab of the Excel Options dialog box.

  2. Type a new entry (between 1 and 50) in the Show This Number of Recent Documents text box located in the Display section or use the spinner buttons to increase or decrease this number.

  3. Click OK or press Enter to close the Excel Options dialog box.

If you don’t want any files displayed in the Recent Workbooks list, either on the Excel or Open screen in the Backstage view, enter 0 in the Show This Number of Recent Documents text box or select it with the spinner buttons.

Oct 25, 2013  Hello experts, For some reason I do not see an Acrobat tab in Word 2013.I looked in the under options---add ins and it is loaded and there are no disabled add-ins.is there a way to get the Acrobat Tab in word 2013? Oct 01, 2015  I can't see the Adobe tab in Word 365 (2013). Here is a quick summary of my setup and the issue: My setup: I am on a brand new PC (Day 2). I'm on Windows 10 with a fresh install of Office 365 2013 and Adobe Pro XI. What I've done: I checked for Adobe updates after installing and ran the available update. We love hearing from our customers. To help us build the best version of Excel ever, we have partnered with UserVoice, a third-party service, to create this site to hear your suggestions and ideas for the next version of Excel.

Select the Quickly Access This Number of Recent Workbooks check box on the Advanced tab of the Excel Options dialog box (right below the Show This Number of Recent Workbooks option) to have Excel display the four most recently opened workbooks as menu items at the bottom of the File menu in the Backstage view. That way, you can open any of them by clicking its button even when the Open screen is not displayed in the Backstage view.

If four workbook files is too many or not sufficient, you can decrease or increase the number of files shown at the bottom of the File menu by replacing 4 in the text box that appears to the right of the Quickly Access This Number of Recent Workbooks check box option.

Hi Jake,

I understand that your Excel add-ins are not showing up in Excel 2016.

I suggest you to start Excel in safe mode and check if it helps. To do that, close Excel. Click on Start> All Programs> Accessories> Run, and in the open box type in Excel /safe and hit ok.

Note: There is a space between Excel and /.

If the application works fine safe mode, try disabling the add-ins for the application and check the result:

  1. Click on the File tab.

  2. Go to Options.

  3. Click Add-ins.

  4. In the Manage section, select COM Add-ins and click on Go.

  5. Now uncheck the Add-ins and click on OK.

What version of windows are you running? There is no 'All Programs' or 'Accessories' in my windows 10. You must be using Windows 7?

Here are two possible explanations.

(A) If you are using an Excel VBA add-in which correctly uses the pre-2007 methods for adding a custom tool bar or menu item, and if it is correctly installed, then there will be an 'Add-Ins' tab added to the ribbon with a 'Menu Commands' group.
In Windows Excel 2013 and 2016, after you click the checkbox in the Add-ins Available list, the Add-Ins tab may not appear until you quit Excel and restart.
Instead, if your add-in creates a 2007-and-later ribbon and does not use the pre-2007 methods, then Excel will not show an 'Add-Ins' tab.
(B) Microsoft added some extra security features in July 2016.

Depending on your system and settings and file location, you may have to unblock downloaded files before use.

In your Windows file manager, right-click the XLA or XLAM file, choose Properties > General, check the Unblock box, and click OK.

Then start Excel and use File > Open to load the add-in file.

It doesn't solve the issue. The add-ins get loaded on starting Excel, yet the Add-in tab does not show. When moving the position of the tab using Customise Ribbon, you can see the tab flicker briefly on the ribbon, then it is gone again.

Strangely, on a different login account on the same PC, there is no issue at all with exactly the same add-ins.
